Broward County poll: 77% want #publictransit to be top transport priority

Broward County public transportation plan must address funding gap - Sun Sentinel: "The demand for transit in Broward County is growing, with a 10 percent increase over the past five years in the number of people who need public transit.

An April poll of 502 voters in Broward found that "the top issue of local concern is traffic, transportation and infrastructure/roads,'' and 77 percent said that expanding public transportation should be a top priority for the county."

Downtown Dallas Free Shuttle Service Begins in November

NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth: "The Dallas City Council has approved a two-year pilot project for a free downtown shuttle service with stops at more than a dozen sites.

The $2.5 million project approved Wednesday also involves bus operator Dallas Area Rapid Transit and the business group Downtown Dallas Inc. The city and the organizations will share the cost for the shuttle dubbed D-Link. The service begins Nov. 4."
